Service terms

These website terms describe how Mark Carlson presents potential services. A public page is an invitation to discuss work, not a binding promise to perform it.

Written agreement required

No engagement begins until both sides confirm in writing the exact deliverables, exclusions, price and currency, applicable taxes, timeline, customer responsibilities, acceptance checks, cancellation or refund treatment, data handling, confidentiality, and intellectual-property terms. That written agreement controls if it differs from this page.

Service boundaries

Only the expressly agreed work is included. Regulated professional advice, deceptive activity, unauthorized access, unlawful data collection, unsolicited bulk outreach, and work that violates a third party's rights or terms are excluded. No performance, revenue, ranking, or business-outcome guarantee is made unless it is expressly supported and written into the agreement.

Customer responsibilities

The customer must have authority to provide all instructions, systems, content, and data used for the work. Credentials, sensitive information, and personal information must not be supplied unless the written scope expressly authorizes and protects them.

Payment, cancellation, and tax

Payment is requested by PayPal invoice only after written agreement. This website does not take card details or automatically charge anyone. The exact agreement states payment timing, cancellation and refund terms, and any tax that must be collected. Prices must not be treated as tax-inclusive unless the agreement says so.

Data, confidentiality, and intellectual property

Any permitted confidential or personal data, retention period, deletion process, subprocessors, and security requirements must be recorded before access. Ownership and licensing of inputs and deliverables are determined by the written agreement; no transfer is implied by a public offer page.

Jurisdiction and contact

Mandatory laws that apply to a customer or transaction are not excluded. Work outside the privately reviewed launch envelope is not accepted until the relevant location and activity are checked. Questions may be sent to missingpiecetechnologies@gmail.com.
